@Critch tracked down something like this for me in April this year from Lookers Deeside.

Their invoice shows part number as 9202092 though so I'm not sure if this was a "non stock" code or Genuine.

My pipe came apart at the joint and hadn't been replaced when the thermostat and housing were changed a couple of years ago.

Got to be worth a call ?

    Good Luck

That pipe will come off with patience.

i did woodys years ago absolutely clueless at that point about anything to do with gsi.
new stat fitted and pipe has been fine.

ok we had to replace the rubber hose from rad to that pipe.
but considering the amount of works that's been done on that engine I don't think that's a bad thing.

dealer actually had that rubber hose in stock.

that metal pipe contains a couple o rings
so go find a decent independent garage worst case is it'll need new new o rings popping on.

Thank you all so much for your input, did lots of phone calls to Germany today but no luck with the pipe.
Critch, will any type of 'O' rings do the job or do they need to be high temp sort of thing. Should i just buy a selection from ebay etc if they are not specials.

    Roughly what sizes too...???

Hmmmm. I should have kept my old one that I removed almost four years ago.

I guess you will need to clean yours up carefully, find some O-rings and re-use it. Vapour cleaning seems to be great for alloy components. I know someone that can do this but it'd mean your car being out of action for a bit. Let me know if you're interested.

I feel your pain on this, a decade or 2 back I had a Vauxhall Royale Coupe, one owner before me and generally in good condition. The old 2.8 straight six was quite fun when the boy racers with their 1.0 buzzbombs tried it on. Then one year it went down on handbrake on MoT, one side not working properly. Took it to bits (discs all round, handbrake drum inside disc hub) and found a small w shaped metal clip that guided the handbrake cable had rubbed on something and worn enough not to do it's job.
Tried all over to get one, even considered having one made, vauxhall/Opel said the part wasn't well stocked when the cars were new, the only way to get one was buy anopther car and hope it had one in good condition. At the time, there were only around 70 left in UK, chances of someone letting me dismantle one for spares was limited, local engineering places didn't want to know. had to take it off the road and sell it spares or repair. "For want of a nail....." At least you've got possibilities.
