Default Power folding wing mirror doesn't fold out

... and that makes the car rather annoying to drive.

I have a slight issue; my left (driver's side here in continental Europe) wing mirror won't fold out anymore! It's now stuck in the folded position.

My Vec C2 has power folding mirrors, and normally they extend at the push of a button on the key fob, or on the 4-way key in the driver's door. The right mirror still works, and folds in and out, but the left one refuses to budge.

OpCom gives an error in the Driver Door Module, in that the Power Folding Switch Circuit malfunctioned, so my first suspect was the door switch cluster. I opened it up, cleaned it a bit > no. The 4-way key still works to adjust the angle of the mirrors, and the right (passenger's side) mirror still folds in and out.

    What I've already tried:
    - Opened up and cleaned the driver door switch cluster.
    - Used Opcom to reset any errors. Error immediately returns.
    - Opened up the mirror, and cleaned the contacts of the motor of the folding mechanism.
    - Had the car off of the battery for 30 minutes, hoping this would reset all the CANbus computers and hopefully clear this error.

None of that worked. Short of booking it in to my Local Friendly Opel Dealership where I'm sure they can fix it in exchange for a sizable amount of currency, is there anything else I can try/test?

    I'm sure this isn't it.
But I had corrosion on the metal hinges - particularly the bits that slide and they got stuck.
I flooded them with WD40 overnight and it got them going again.
    Never checked for codes.

What metal hinges? You mean the metal part behind the mirror? Or did you remove the whole mirror assembly?

When I bought them one was seized.
I removed the mirror and took off the 2 plastic covers.
The metal parts had white corrosion spots.
I put loads of wd40 and left it overnight.
The next day the mirror was moving, but I did put more wd40 on.
As I use the folding option several times a day, they are fine now.

Happened to me too. Seems a rather common flaw of electrically folding mirrors for Vectra C, especially for driver's one.
Removed the mirror, cleaned all contacts(in&out), also driver door switch cluster, checked for faulty wires, but nothing worked. Replaced the mirror with one from scrapyard to no avail.
Suspecting faulty Driver Door Module but thinking of giving another try for another mirror from different scrapyard. And evrika! It worked and working since 1 week ago. The first mirror was faulty too with exactly same flaw as mine.
Finally I suspect a faulty folding mechanism(maybe increased friction forces) inducing some high current to the folding actuator resulting in a cut off from power by Driver Door Module. Or faulty actuator itself.
