MOT EGR fail?

yes it's a good point, I had thought of that re the engine light being on all the time. That's why some people drill holes through the blanking plate that keeps the sensor happy but doesn't let as much exhaust get through....it's a tempting work around. I know you can get the EGR error mapped out though. but more expense, only paid £900 for the car (and I love it!!)

how about ask a mapper like @Teapot if he is able to assist as he has reasonable pricing.you r in the middle of nowhere but for sure someone locally can do remote mapping for you. everything is possible amd not necessary expensive.

Yes I have heard of Teapot's skills. It might be something to think about. Cornwall is not in the middle of nowhere!!!!

but it might be at the end of nowhere!!
