Jacking up insignia pinch weld
Hi all. So had a mare last night, somehow ran over a chunk of glass in the rd, did not see it at all until I drove over it ( late night / heavy rain ) anyhow a had a nice chunk in my tyre so went out this morning to remove the wheel and drop it off at the tyre centre.
Now my Vectra had square notches that my van jack fit nicely. My insignia does not and has pinch weld with a mark where the jack point is, so my van jack won't fit. The car does not come with a jack. If I was to buy a scissor jack suitable would this be ok ? Or even a trolly jack , can you use a trolly jack on these pinch welds ?

scissor jack is fine - as would trolley jack - I personally would buy a cheap trolley.
Google Vauxhall Insignia Jack - shows loads of scissor type ones.
Car Parts 4 less has a scissor about a £tenner

Anything will do - jack pad - bit of old carpet is what I use (wife objected to the old underpants!!)
This thing looks quite stable - would have to see it in the flesh...........(the jack thing, not the wife!)
