    Default which reversing sensors please?

Thinking of fitting reversing sensors to my 05 estate.
Dealers have suggeted 2 VXL options.

1st is 4 sensors drilled & fitted to bumper (similar to factory) cost = £400
    2ns is a numberplate holder with 2 sensors. cost = £135

Has anyone on here had either of these? How good are they?

Any one else gone down a different route they could recommend?

I am currently thinking the numberplate option, as I may be able to take it to my next car.

    thanks

I had mine put in to the rear bottom bit thingy.

works at absolute treat £135 fitted. I went for the Cobra kit, linky. LeedsVectra has done his as per factory install, Pauls link is here and is excellent. Vx numberplate option, very crappy job, personally speaking

I had the first option on my Signum and they work very nicely. The first kit I had fitted was the Bosch kit that Vx use and it was fine - my only gripe was that the beeper (situated in the rear wing void) could've been louder. When a Merc hit me up the chufter, the reversing kit needed replaced and the dealer had started to use a Cobra kit instread of the Bosch one as they'd had a few problems with the Bosch one (although I hadn't). The Cobra kit had a much loder beeper and the sensors were a little bit smaller so it was better overall.

Whilst the number plate ones are cheaper, and easier to move to other cars, they simply don't give the side to side coverage that four sensor kits do.
