Engine hesitating, remap?
So I've had my ECU remapped by Saabnoob z20net, the car has been off the road for a few weeks, I've refitted the ecu, but its now hesitating on boost between 3-4 revs?
Anyone have any ideas? Should i try to refit the ecu? I've just put some fuel cleaner in the tank, running Tesco 99 fuel. Thanks

Im assuming the ECU was sent to Saabnoob and prior to this all was well with the car's running....refitting the ECU is plug and play..aint it?...
Nothings been disturbed/tinkered with only ECU?...Recheck what YOU have done and if still no improvement then contact Saabnoob..if you havent already. Give him the chance to offer help..its his reputation after all...

A remap can often exacerbate underlying issues, particularly sensors and actuators that are starting to go out-of-spec but are not completely failed. The symptoms may have been there for months before, but they were too small to notice.
I've seen this loads of times on 1.9 CDTIs that I've remapped, and even if I don't know off the top of my head which part is causing the problem, I can find out by recording and graphing live data.
Explain your problem to the remapper, he might even know off the top of his head what faulty part will cause the symptoms you are experiencing.
I'm not overly familiar with the 2.0T but on 1.9 hesitation and unstable boost issues are usually caused by the boost control solenoid, MAF sensor, or the actuator on the turbo.

Thanks Teapot, he's recommended i try plugs then coil packs, so i will do plugs first, get some NGK's, then see how that goes as coils an't cheap.

Just to re-iterate what teapot said - I have a 1.9cdti - and had a leaking intercooler for ages - got used to the lack of power - got the 'cooler changed - and then noticed the hesitation - only became apparent - as the power was now where it should be......it was the MAF sensor as it happens - and had been faulty for a long time - just I never noticed it...!
