Default Loose connection on front cluster

I keep getting warning that one of my bulbs have gone.. so.. i stick all my lights on, fogs, hazards, the lot and get out and walk round the car then get back in and drive off as they're all on.. onlookers wondering what the hell i'm doing and giving me funny looks as i drive past. This has happend quite a few mornings and i've finally found the cause!!

The bulb it's moaning about is the the main beam, being rather pi**ed off with it i hit the cluster and the whole lot went out... so.. popped the bonnet and found that the connection for the cluster is rather loose and i can't find a way of getting it to say in place........

So, the whole point of this thread.. anyone got any idea's on how to ensure it doesn't keep coming loose?

Is the locking slider thing fully in place?, that should lock the plug to the cluster. Difficult to explain, but it's a dark reddy slidy bit of plastic that's part of the plug that slides and locks it in place.

Similar to the big blue slidy kinda thing on the back of the heater controls?

Or a little lever type thing similar to the smaller connector on the back of the old screen... i think this is the type i saw but it's as if the bit it clips into is loose.. could be wrong though.. just noticed it was loose then came back in to come on here.. i mean to do some work lol

I'll go take another look.. it's an excuse for a nicotine break!

Errrm.. lol.... It's a bunch of wires that go on to some form of connector at the back of my lights. Passenger side, had to lift the battery cover to get to it.

What should it look like? lol

Same pic with some colours! You'll be amazed at my mspaint skills lol

Ahem.. yeah... I'm not sure, but i think the red oval bit is supposed to stay attached to the car and actually split where the green line is, the bit with the blue square seems to have some form of clip there. ???

    OK, some pics....

    Here's your plug....

    Here's my plug...

You can see the red bit I was talking about - which appears to be missing on yours. It's a sliding clip thing that locks the plug onto the socket on the back of the lights.

Can you see it on your other light, or is it missing on that as well?
