Car parked on drive - ideas?
Yep - some plonker parked a car on my drive. A bit strange that there are "CCTV" cameras in it front and back, like a spy car
The house is unoccupied, but i visit occasionally to refurbish it.
Haven't called police yet, but i suppose they will not do anything.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Yeah put a wheelclamp on it
Your drive = private road up to your house....
Plus he will never do it again

Fone the cops if they cant help, trolly jack out and move it yourself. Or park your car behind it and go to the pub.

Wouldn't touch the car itself, but as Das says, if it's on a private driveway, then if something happened to be put at the end of the driveway to stop the car being able to get out again then the owner couldn't exactly say much.
I mean, you might be needing to dig some form of drainage ditch across the end of the drive, or pile some heavy concrete blocks there...........

Good suggestions, it's been there a couple of days. If there wasn't a camera in the window, it would be on the street.
Seems like they want the car to remain there for some reason.
Shall give plod a ring see what they say.

I'd certainly make the police my first port of call to be honest.
You never know, they may have an interest in the car for some reason. It could have been dumped there after being stolen or involved in something untoward. Unlikely I admit, but stranger things have happened.

I dont see how you can gone wrong with that. They may say its not a criminal matter and as a civil matter its up to you to resolve. So as long as you resolve it without damaging the car what can the owner do? Silly question but have you knocked any neighbouring properties doors to see its someone beside you? BTW do the usual DVLA and MIB checks to see if its taxed, MOT and insured.

.
Stand out of view of the camera (i.e. at the side of the car) and chuck a blanket over it covering all the windows. Then move it onto street, then remove blanket again.
Or wear a balaclava

seriously call the police first... if they don't do anything tell them you'll have it removed to the street as they are blocking the access to your house... unoccupied or not you are the owner not them and you aren't providing an off the road parking spot for free. Hell if you own the place you actually pay tax for the privilege of having a drive way.... so the police should at least come out and have a look at who the owner is... but you can make it easier for them if you supply the registration number of the car when calling them.
