Interesting stuff. I'm not using any relays though, and relays are impractical for a trailer really. I might just go back to ordinary lights which would cost me £15. Very annoyed at the Maypole packaging which proudly announced "compatible with most vehicles" when clearly they aren't. 20 years ago maybe, but canbus systems are surely standard on cars these days!
That's how they cover themselves when they say "most vehicles".
Well, to dump strobing, id use L filter to kill off spikes, and/or CFilter to even up power level. Pretty basic stuff.
Strobe pulse is from electric point of view is very similar to short instance of ac of some frequency. The bigger coil inductivity, the greater resistance in ac it will have, while at dc only ohm resistance of the coil wire itself. With capacitor it is pretty much opposite, instead of blocking pulse current, it sucks it up.
I would be able if i knew the pulse duration.
I'm having same issues( https://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showt...trailer-lights )
are your resistors getting hot? are they load resistors? I'm starting to think I'm going to have to fit old bulb lights inside my box trailer to solve the not working and flashing symptoms. I also chose the led option in programming but didn't make any difference!?
