    Default MPG - Well impressed!

    Hi folks,

I had to go to Milton Keynes on Friday night (from SE London - near Bromley) to drop off my wifes 2nd year assesment on her Masters course with the Open University. The deadline was midnight that day! I left once she finished it at 1840 got there at 2040 and got home at 2255.

It was basically 100miles each way, door-to-door and the trip computer was reading 37.1mpg, trip 220miles and Range 230miles!!!!!!!! This is the best yet I've managed to get!

Admittedly, the M25 was crawling for a lot of the journey (rush hour Friday evening) between 40 and 60mph which would have helped considerably!

Incidentally, on the way back, between J8 and J7 (M25) they decided to cone off a 4 lane section down to 1 lane - what a nightmare! Took about 20mins to filter from the outside lane to the single lane on the nearside. - It was at a standstill with loads of HGVs not letting cars across - saw several near-crushes (including me ) as we tried to traverse from the outside lane towards the nearside! I didn't see one workman either!!!! Ho hum!

The 3.2 is not all that bad if you drive it steady, the best I have got yet is 35/36 mpg on a run.

Not bad that, just burbling along sipping the fuel, the V6`s can do it if you are careful, just very hard to be carefull when you now whats under your right foot *lol*

    Absolutely!

I got 35.5mpg (Trip comp reading) coming back from New Ross, Ireland to Home (340miles) carrying 4 and a fully laden boot!
