I'm going to be working on my Mum's 2.2 Vec on Friday, the air intake hose is leaking oil from the seal around the throttle body so I'm suspecting a blocked breather forcing it out the top of the engine.

As a plan I'm going to pull off the inlet manifold and replace the orifice plate and the gaskets - do I need to completely remove the EGR pipe or can I just get away with disconnecting it from the manifold?

O-ring for the manifold end is £4, the gasket for the head end of the EGR pipe is £25!!

I'll be putting on a new custom silicone intake hose as well so that will solve the leak issue from the TB joint. Just need to give it all a good clean up too.
