Default Astra J AC went warm?

Sorry not insignia but close, our Astra J was driving last week on a rare hot day here in Scotland aircon was nice and cold then I noticed the windows steaming up and no more cold air as we drove! it still switches on etc but nothing! I thought it strange and wondered if it might be the gas gone low, or it sprang a leak all of a sudden? The car is a 2012, Don't want to waste money on a re gas if the issue lies elsewhere?

    Thanks Ronnie

Cheers, ATS have a groupon deal for a recharge @ £29 but they don't do a leak test, maybe a should look somewhere that can pressure and leak test?

yes, deffo get it pressure tested (if you can, its better than vacuum) first as in most cases its holes in the condenser up front..
