    Default "Lost"Speedo & Rev counter?

    Just "lost"speedo & rev counter then after switching off & on again worked ok! Any ideas? Thanks

    Sounds like the ABS module plug connector. Pull it off, put it back on, but if its working fine now nowt to worry about

    On top of the ABS module in the engine bay, behind the battery box, its the one with all the brake lines going into. remove and refit the large multi plug on top of it.

    mine has been doing the same, mostly the rev counter will either stop working or read incorrectly like 500 rpm doing 30mph in 4th, today both the speedo and rev counter did not work from start, restarted the engine a couple of time but nothing, then after 5 miles the speedo worked and rev counter reading low, stopped engine and restarted and all worked fine.

    My has just gone today Saturday 5/5/18

    this happened some time ago and few people said its the sim
    so ill have to ring my old friend Andy Lamb to fix it.

    I would take the lot off and clean it all with an electrical cleaner.. including the UEC...

    well got some contact cleaner and removed the plug from the abs module, it did not look like it was dirty but cleaned it anyway, will see over the next few days if the rev counter or speedo keep working correctly if not then I will rip the dash out to check for dry joints
