lil hesitant to replace the plugs only few months old, as mentioned fitted some insignia vxr plugs - DILFR7B10G - which are NGK iridium's and so long as they come from GM will come pre-gapped anyways ( which mine did).

Thats the insignia plugs part number

Anyways, stripped the rear or the engine down to test the coils, done the test, all coils came back good, then rebuilt the rear bank back up, tested the fronts again and they tested good

did more digging found a video and well it was more informative than the original guide which turns out i was doing it wrong, so retested the fronts as cba stripping the rear back down, and got some decent results.

    Coil 2

    Primary - 18 Mohm
    Secondary - 0.6 ohm

    Coil 4

    Primary - 19 Mohm
    Secondary - 0.6 ohm

    Coil 6

    Primary - 12 Mohm
    Secondary - 0.6 ohm

SO going by that, coil 6 is still potential the problem coil as its showing lower resistance than the other 2, still got the rear ones to retest to get a conclusive data set to compare, as can;t find any data online for the resistances of the primary and secondary coils anywhere for a comparison for health coils

In other news, still awaiting my B12's, contacted the supplier yesterday and been told the shocks will be at Bilstein distribution within the next few days, but they are awaiting the springs from eibach which is whats been the hold up, so no idea when I'll see them

Well got a set of used plugs which should hopefully be here tomorrow, and will see what resistances they give just as a comparison then take it from there.

New led side light bulbs arrived this morning so can finally fix the bulb out error for the sidelights which comes and goes, got some 10 and numbers, basically the same as I am using in the vxr.

As for mods, picked up a few pieces tonight in the shape of some lumps of blue metal

Yup, got me some vxr calipers, well I am needing new brakes anyways as think one if the disks may have a slight warp to it and we'll may as well upgrade while am at it.

The intake manifold is somthing I am going to attempt to tidy up the engine bay, and found a few guides on how to polish up cast aluminium parts, and if it works will be a great centre piece in the engine bay instead of the dull matted factory part.

For the front VXR calipers this might help:

Comline front pads part number CBP01752
    Minted front discs MDC2385
Apec front discs coated (black on edge & bell) part number DSK2966
Comline front discs coated part number ADC1155V

The spark plugs (Vauxhall part number 55564748) you have fitted are OE for both Vectra and Insignia and going by the NGK Iridium specs I have a feeling you'll find the gap is 1.0mm, specs here. I'd advise you check and gap them to 0.7mm especially if you plan on a remap in the future.

Will be completely rebuilding the calipers first and painting them off the car, just need to decide on a colour, got tins of red or orange from when I've done the vxrs, but may try somthing different with the signum, but orange or a similar colour is up there

I'll have a look, but coming direct from GM they should be pregapped for GM applications.( same as the std plugs are with the z20leh when bought from Vauxhall)

I won't gap iridium plugs as that is what seems to cause many of the issues on the z20s with iridiums, where they have been gapped and the tip is then made brittle.

Not bad price that, still not decided what am doing, pad wise prob use yellow stuffs( used them on the vxrs std set up and they were sufficient) but noticed they do blue stuffs for the vectras std brakes so tempted to give them a try as they are awsome in the mk5s ksports

Well they suit the mk5 perfect for the price and still have decent cold bite as above them your looking at track spec ones like the pagid rs19, rs21 or feroso ds2500 which don't have great cold temp performance.

Will see nearer the time, got some more digging and some refurb work to get done first, if I can pick up a cheap set of complete rear calipers as well I'll just rebuild them and get them all painted as well as adding some braided lines from goodridge plus still got about 2l of ate typ200 left over from doing the vxrs brakes so itll get a decent brake fluid flush
