Question Blower Motor problem NOT WORKING!

    Hey to everyone
New Vectra owner here, so have questions about stuff.
Main thing is that the blower motor isn't working at any speed.
Google'd a bit and I found you can change resistor (Ebay from 3pounds) or full blower motor (Ebay from 25pounds). Does the resistor help solve the problem or do I need to change full blower?

    Thank you.

Hi , have you read up on the causes of the blower not working ??? some times it is due to water getting through where the pollen filter is and goosing the blower . Have you got wet carpet on the passenger side ? The main cause is blocked drainage holes in the scuttle tray. For the sake of £3 I would start with the resistor .

If you scroll down this page you will threads of simular blower problems ... HTH

If the resistor has gone, it should still work on the highest speed setting.

So will try to check the cabin filter today and check if the passenger side is wet or not.

Take the pollen filter out and see if you can turn the motor by hand.

I checked the pollen filter it is still average condition, but the hole for the water under it was clogged and there was water below the filter. I unclogged the hole and cleaned it, but maybe then it was water it spilled on the blower motor and burned it ???
    Thanks.

I tried to spin it by hand and it didn't moved, when I did it with screwdriver the blower motor spin but I had to put a bit of pressure to push it. I think it was rusted from long time not working.
So now I know that I will have to change it for sure

Not sure if you can see the HOW2 section (some can, some can't) but there's a HOW2 for lubricating the spindle bearings. That's all it might need, instead of going to the expense of replacing it.
