Interesting, thanks for the advice. It certainly sounds like a similar problem, but not sure I have a clamp that bolts to the underside of the engine on the Insignia. Looking on ecat, I reckon this looks like mine:

Mine is like your second photo so i assume the vectra exhaust is different to what you have ,how ever i bet some thing is loose or the exhaust system is slightly out of alignment and catching somewhere.If the vibration was not there before the pipe was changed ,it has to be something to do with it.Hope the weather is better were you are if you are going to do it outside as its blowing a gale here ,so i won't be working on ours today.

Likewise here, it's absolutely chucking it down, so won't be doing much to it today.
