    Default Superunleaded or not?

Does anyone recommend using superunleaded instead of ordinary unleaded. Is it any better,or is it just a waste of extra money.Has anyone had any experience of negative things happening when using super or are peoples experiences more positive. What do you guys think?

Not if your car is in normal tune. If it's been remapped (or highly tuned) then SUL will be advantageous - as long as the remap/tune has altered the timing to take advantage of a higher octane fuel.

If you're running one of the engines in a Vectra/Signum in normal tune, then I wouldn't think you're really going to notice any difference with SUL. I remember using SUL in my 2.0T before the remap and I can't say I noticed much difference.

I used it in my old 2.2 SRi and found it made a difference, defo made it a smoother drive and a little more frisky . The vxr runs like a bag of spanners without it !

    Ditto.

I was forced to use normal unleaded due to having only 20miles range left, and the filling station in the village only sold the the ordinary stuff.

It didn't like it: economy went down for a few tankfuls, and it wasn't as frisky either.

I'd expect the 2.0T to be very similar.

I trialled it in my V6 Omega, found it to be no different to normal other than an extra 25p a gallon.
