    Default Steering wheel wobble...

Tracking or warped discs do you think?

Front discs may be near the end and squeak a tiny bit when crawling along in traffic, but then up near motorway cruising speeds (err herm) there is pronounced judder especially when on a trailing throttle...

I had the tracking done some time ago by proffesionals when on standard 17"s...upgraded to aftermarket 18"s and the wheel fitter re-tracked... unsure as to whether he did a proper job now....

    thoughts?

    thanks

could be a couple of things , wheels out of balance would be a place to start ! as some balance machines dont go up to a high enough in speed terms so when you get to motorway speeds you get a vibration ! could be other things too !

it will be balance.. i think what veccy22 is trying to say is that the vectra C range is VERY sensitive to how it's wheels are balanced.. You have to insist on 'fine' settings being used and the use of minimal amounts of wieghts.. if he can't get it to balance on the 2nd spin, then the fitter needs to remove ALL the weights and start again..too much weight also affects them..

i usually find that standing over the fitter ( as i'm a small chap ) gets the job done right.. or i simply do it myself on their machine if they can't get it done correctly.
