Brakes question(s)

I've got a 2.8T Signum.

How can I find out what size callipers are on there?
Think I need to upgrade!

If its a 2.8t then will already have the 314's so only upgrade is the 345's which are expensive new or secondhand. The 314's you have fitted should be more than adequate though, what problems are you having ?.

Or consider upgrade to EBC Yellow stuff Discs and pads.

Ask a dealer for the part number to get the spec and also measure them

I've got ebc yellow stuff pads.
Milltek discs.

Drove it for the first time in 4 years yesterday, and it was a bit scary when I tried to brake hard.

I think it's got corrosion on the discs that needs to rub off.
Going to do some hard braking on a safe road.

Drove it into the back of someone, didn't claim, put in my mate's garage.
Meant to repair it.
Time flies.

that is a long time and i'm quite sure the brakes would need a good old cleanup before they are back to their grippy self... ps after 4 years i would have the brake fluid changed though if you haven't done so already

let me edit that reply... I would change all fluids and filters including the gearbox oil, power steering oil and all spark plugs before i would drive it anywhere... i would also put on new brake pads both front and back

I took it to a vauxhall Specialist.
They changed the engine oil/filter, power-steering fluid for sure.
I'll check if they did the other things.
