    Default Tailgate removal estate

    Hi folks,

Need some help, removing the tailgate to swap for a new undamaged one a 04 Vectra c pre-facelift couple of questions.

1-Should I remove the wiring loom from the tailgate out or from the car out?

2- I notice the rear window washer pipe goes through alongside all the electrics in the main loom, where should I disconnect this is it at the back of the nozzle or somewhere else?

    Any help gratefully received

    Thanks

leave wiring in tailgate itself if same type, ie not electric tailgate.

follow wiring through from boot along back of headlining down to the REC (rear fuse box)... unplug connector... then from the connector remove the two indivdual plugs from the larger connector, this will then allow it to come out from inside the car and out of the hole by the rubber boot/grommet at the top near the hinge...

there is a connector nozzle just a little way inside further along on the passenger side.. just untwist the pipe off of it.

As plasma said I did this recently and went on really easy, you'll need an extra set of hands once you come to remove the lid. The boot struts just clip off and back on again you'll see the clip at the top.
