- Bedding the new front brakes in seemed odd, so after some advice pads removed, cleaned with brake cleaner and sanded down to clean up faces with 80 grit emery on a sander. Worked really well. Pads are EBC blue which still after time do not have great cold bite, these are being exchanged later for EBC Yellowstuff as the closest to a road pad before spending double on DS2500 pads. The Blues will be kept for any possible track days. https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/search/93072053Y
- Previously found incorrectly routed loom to hub rerouted.

- Oil and filter change with usual engine flush, 2500 miles since last change. On the 2nd service book now.
- Used my trusty @ST200 TM tool to stop oil going all over the heat exchanger and catch the oil filter housing cap as its still going strong.
- Spare K&N filter clean and re-oil, dishwasher has cleaned it up really well but opened some small section up through the cotton.

You can go sit on a cucumber if you think im removing the rust on them then repainting them only to rust through again. If i did everything with some rust on underneath it would be an unachievable nightmare.

- Rear calipers, carriers, discs and pads fitted.
- Calipers are Remy refurb blasted and painted with only the outer side cleaned up smooth all other marking left on, carriers are blasted and painted. Meyle kit for caliper slides and boots, GM outer spring. Discs are high quality Zimmermann drilled with Z coating 430.1496.52 , this was removed during the tuftriding process which is a DBtm process that stops rust forming and protects the disc from warping. Genuine GM pads were used as the offer the best performance all round as they are high quality. For track use front and rear pads would have to be swapped if i got good due to the increase in temps.
- Whilst all apart handbrake cable lubed with it lifted up so the oil would go down the cable sheath and all rubber parts lubed with red rubber grease including the handbrake cable end which was the worst part of this job removing it from the place its been for about 13 years. It wont seize in place now with the fresh painted calipers along with grease in the fitting.
