Good shout that man, didn't think to try Car Parts Connexion as I've used them previously. Going to order an inner boot kit tomorrow as a spare just in case the Shaftec pops as that is really really cheap for a genuine inner boot kit, I hope they have one left in stock.
As the forum won't let me edit my previous posts from earlier this evening...grrr...the smaller diameter if the OEM inner CV boot is 38mm and not 36mm
Nice thread mate, car looks spot on!

After it was pointed out to me that the rear spring bump stops actually go on the bottom I corrected my mistake this evening on my drive in a not so toasty 1 degree C.
Incorrect bump stop fitting, my bad The reason being that if fitted at the top they can trap water and will eventually rot the chassis which nobody wants do they.
Spring removed and rubbers swapped around as I have to have the Eibach wording the correct way up.
Both bump stops correctly installed
Quick test drive round the block and the world is a much better place now that I’ve corrected my school boy error, sorry mum.

Gear work mate. I have springs to fit. Would love to do them myself but I've never done them before.
Nice write up fella
You wait around for ages and then two come along at once!
Held a mini Vectra VXR estate meet in the Nottingham Ikea car park last night. Met a fellow local owner with as much passion about cars in general as I hold. Nice to meet you Steve (aka Dog_Book on Vectra-C). We stood chatting for nearly two hours in minus temps with only a few bear hugs to keep us warm, now that’s dedication or more like darn stupidity.
Note the registrations as we believe both cars may have met in a former life, strange or what.

i'll have to get up that way for a meet also with you both.
Three Vec VXR estates together in one place, that would be sheer madness but would look good I bet we can count a record number of VXR badges in one place as Vauxhall did go a bit mad when splashing them all over the interior, sill trims, boot and under bonnet. Yes Vauxhall we know it's a VXR as that's why we bought it d'oh.
