CDC40 Opera AUX input without DAB unit
Hi all,
I have been looking around and can't find an answer on this....
I have a CDC40 Opera with the AUX pins as on the pin out sticker, is there a way of installing a 3.5mm jack into the stereo? Also the cable ISO loom from the car itself already has cables going to the stereo itself, is this for the DAB unit? Can this be removed to install a 3.5mm jack? Lastly when I go through the settings it only has DAB box error not external in or AUX, is this correct or can it be changed?
Thanks much!

Thanks, that exactly what I did. I did a search and found nothing for what I am asking. The searches I have done and I have found have been unanswered. Let me clarify....
i have a CDC40 Opera with the AUX pins not DAB pins. All the searches I have found are with people who have that stereo with DAB and the module. I do not have the module nor does the radio state it on the sticker for the DAB pins.
I am looking to find out if there is anyone in the same situation as me and if so how did they get around adding AUX.
if the only way I can get round this is by buying A DAB unit then so be it.
BTW, location update ;-)
Thanks

@Plastic_pooh, did you ever find out? I'm in the same situation now, hoping not having to buy the DAB module to make the aux work

I think you will find that you not only need the DAB module to be fitted and paired but that you also need to be able to receive a DAB signal before you can switch it.
There are other threads on this subject here on the forum so try more searches to set your minds at rest

Iv had a look, there’s 1 thread from fitting it from scratch, think I can work out the pins from that 1, and I can have the dab module flashed, if need be il open a new thread but think most of the info is there

@plasma may be able to assist with flashing the DAB module. As long as you have the security code for the Headunit then you should be able to pair it.

It gets worse and worse! The DAB signal here in Denmark has been replaced by DAB+, so I'm not even sure a factory fitted CDC40 wth DAB can find signal.
What a sh*tload of word, just to keep the original look, while having all the modern features! And then I don't even have navigation, but just a CD-changer and AUX/BT by a Bury CC 9068 add-on.
