    Default in car dvd

just put in my new head unit in.
its the new JVC EXAD KD-AVX2, amazing piece of kit, expensive but my god you can hear the quality difference!
its a full GIGA MP3 player too so you dont have to hunt around for cd's.
got tons of outputs, all gold plated and the clearest 3.5inch widescreen i have seen, dts surround etc
looked at the cheap versions ie ebay and halfords and they are pants. yes they are a third of the price but you can tell.
also put the 7inch widescreen in the back too so the young uns can watch. (cheers icetrix for the idea)
new speakers here to put in but im waiting as i dont have time yet.
    watch this space.....

    Very nice

I Like what you have done with the rear screen.

I have a single screen system for a PS2, but my poverty spec LS has no proper centre console.

the back screen is mounted on a bracket (supplied with it) which is screwed on to the back of the arm rest below the 12v socket. the power to this is connected (via fuse inline) to the power socket inside, so it only comes on when the ignition is on. the front screen is on with the key turned on to 1.
i chose the EXAD head unit with the 3.5" screen as opposed to the bigger 7" slide out display as the police dont take kindley to you having it on while the car is in motion, so with a smaller screen it is a bit less obvious, although if you have a store install it for you, they will disable the screen because they earth it to the hand brake.
I know some people are gonna say "ooh thats a danger as its distracting" but im telling the truth when i say i dont look at it anymore than my old headunit. the difference is now i can listen to my music dvds in car in dts surround. you can turn off the screen if you need to though.
erm..i was going to go down the route with subs and amps, not the cheap active units but a full on install, but i am looking to buy a new car this summer if possible when i get my payout for my arm which was damaged in someones house (long story) but im getting about 30-40k. The car im looking at is a vauxhall vx220 turbo which means the wife gets the vectra....

Mate nice headunit I have the sameone. with 3500k amp & 3 12" subs and £1800 tweaters and pod speakers, I can crank it up to full on 5.1 surround and never ever hear it distort, just go deaf lol.

    Nice..

Ive got the same in mine rear screen as well

If anyone is looking for one of these it will be back up for sale very soon

Got to sell car soon as it will be 3 years old in May and company policy for opt out drivers is no older than 3 years

Saying that with the private plate they may not spot it have to see if I can get away with it.
