Just a "quick thought" @Dog_Book
Have you tried driving anywhere in North Wales (or anywhere else for that matter via the motorway network) on a Bank Holiday Weekend ?
You might want to re-think your driving time allowances ?

The M6 here, + M62, M56, M5, M4 , M40 etc etc all seem to end up as car parks on bank holidays
Not a big deal if you have planned for the time delays though
Remember it's over 2 days, 1 day getting there drive round if traffic ain't to bad as I've not found anywhere else with a decent carpark for us all to hang about in, then day 2 head off and meet up to then make our ways home

you try the "park your car 1/2 mile away on an unlit public car-park"line, and see what response you get!

Looks good to me and currently no plans for the Easter weekend, so I'm game. I'm also up for this
north wales is a lovely drive! Went to Anglesey last August and even in the ****ing rain and fog, the roads and scenery were just gorgeous, I told myself I had to come back again when the weather was better.
I'll agree about the traffic, coming back on just a summer Sunday last year, the M6 was diabolical! Averaged probably about 10 mile an hour along it and added a number of hours on a long drive (probably about 8 hours getting home  )

it normaly takes me about 3.5 hrs to get to enfield, london but the easyest route coming into northwales would be m6 then the m56, to chester then decide if you want to go up the coast or over the moors then through the forests and mountains to the coast

The car park is just over the road and nice and open, won't be any less unsafe than on a drive. I'm sure Gary can set up some servailence cameras
