Alloy thoughts

Just purchased a year old 1.9 CDTi estate and going to do maybe three things to it other than drive it. A remap is inevitable (selling a Skoda Fabia remapped to 150bhp if anybody is interested - superb machine it has been, growing family necessitates large carrier), possibly a little body work but not sure, will tint windows from pillars back and darken the lamp covers. Alloys are the real question though - I am taking off the 16" signas supplied (for sale and in practically new condition) and would be tempted by the 18" signas if not for the exorbitant price - really want to be under £1K fitted with tyres. Does anyone have any suggestions - a lot of you seem to be into snowflakes but they just don't do it for me, more Del boy than James Bond! Sorry but they are pants!! Someone must have a sophisticated look out there somewhere - give it to me. (sorry for any insults taken)

I liked my old Toora`s , they can be had for under a grand with tyres in 18`s, though mine were 19`s .. I am with you on the snowflakes, they don`t really do it for me either, each to their own though . Also Khan rsv`s are nice if you like multispokes .. turrif tyres are bang on for service and price and not too far from you, he has heaps of alloys in stock as well ..

Mrs GSi got a set of 18" Signas from SaabCity on ebay (link also in that thread) for £690 (no tyres). They had a second set for sale as well. Just looked at their auctions on ebay and they currently haven't got anything. Maybe worth giving them a ring to see if they have any more?

you could always treat yourself to the irmscher 18" stila`s that i have
advertised in the for sale section and they will only cost you £595 with tyres.

It would appear passions are aroused, I can sense some snowflakes melting! Thanks for replies so far - any thread directions to other mods that are particularly recommended would also be appreciated.
I will check out the suggestions and look for change down the back of the reliant robins seats.
