TBH I think I had a Nankang fitted when cash was tight & the missus slashed a side wall open on a good tyre when she caught a bit of flint.
We don't get to drive it hard out in the lanes & as a family car performace is never going to be high on our list.
When I had the wheels off at the bank holiday for a clean I was very impressed with how it was wearing & dare say if they last that long I shall be getting them again. Also when I have chucked it around I can't say I've noticed it.

I had two Michelin Pilot Sport 225/45 ZR18 fitted at kwik fit I think they were around £200 each (hey thats the beauty of a company car), I clipped a kerb & put a small bulge on one of the front tyres & the leasing company changed both I'd only done 15K

I had Nankangs 225/50/17 fitted by Vauxhall as part of the network Q check before I collected my Vectra sri. They said that the goodyears that were on the car originally, were less than 3mm, so had to be replaced!!?

Anyway, I found them to be very slippery in the wet, but ok in the dry. The front tyres lasted about 10 months/10k miles, the rear two are still going strong.

I switched the front 2 to Michelin Primacy, £340 fitted at ATS.

Agree with the slippery when wet but if you dont drive like a manaic they'll be fine had them on my BMW.
