Default Got an interview on Thursday Morning!

And I'm a bit nervous, having not actually been interviewed myself for some years! Held quite a few, but it's a bit different being the other side and there's no way I'd want to be interviewed by me!

Job's good, only it would be on a night shift for a while, but it's better money and more importantly it will get me away from my current employer, who I'm convinced is actually trying to kill me or get me to end up whacking someone!

They actually talk about progression for the ambitious too, which is something my current employer doesn't seem to encourage (same position for 3 years now ).

Don't tell me to be myself... I want this job!

I understand a bit what your going through Andrew.

I have worked for myself for the past 20 years and have decided to pack it in and work for someone else, sent off 5 applications so far and not had one reply, then comes the part of a interview (if I ever get that far), I have NEVER had a interview, so that will be a experience.

All I want is a job that at the end of the day I can go home with no worrys, and wages at the end of the month.

    Good Luck..

Good luck chap, been self employed for 25 years now, I think if I went to an interview it would be conducted by a child (in my eye's) and I would end up telling them to grow up before they judge someone else.
Oh well best stay working for me I guess.
Take no notice of me cynical is all of my middle names.

Pinaman, sounds to me like you are going backwards mate - most people (myself included) strive to get out of the 9-5 and into something where they are working for themselves. fair enough you're only committed 9-5 and don't have any stress to take home, but i'm sure it's not as rewarding as working for yourself.

sorry to hijack the thread Andrew - what sort of role are you going for? are you sticking in the same industry or changing completely?

Listen to Motorhead - Ace of Spades on volume level 11 before any interview and the job will be yours! Worked for me and the wife for various positions. Gets you in the 'I don't give a f*ck if you don't give me this job' mood, you feel more relaxed about it and kick interviewer butt.

    Hi Guys,

    Sorry to hijack Andrew...

I'm in the building trade, council has decided to increase my rent by £2500 a year??, one of my employees is retireing age, and the other one is a waste of space. So I thought he can have a bit of `pay-back' and now he will have to find a job like me, and he won't get away with the rubbish that he has been giving me.

I'm looking for anything that comes a long that I might fancy, like driving so a white van man seems ok to me, I know what you mean about the plonkers judging me, got a application form from the local council, and they can't even get my address right??, so who are they to judge my ability's.

Trick is to relax. Do a bit of research on the company and ask lots of questions about them, make it sound like you are interested in the company. Ask questions about them, even if you already know the answer.

    Good luck too

i love it when they say in the interview why do u want this job u think (cos its more money than my last job) but say something totally naff, then they say wot can u bring to this company. they allways ask naff questions.
just do wot 99% of people do at interviews LIE!!!!!.
