Default Steelmate PTS400N (Parking Sensors) - before I buy.

    Hi guys.

Gonna be ordering a PTS400N (don't want any displays hanging off the windscreen or dash) but I have a quick question to anyone who knows about the Steelmate products. http://www.steelmate.co.uk/acatalog/info_26.html

I don't really want to splice into cables but would prefer to crimp into the sockets next to the fuse board.

My question then is do I need to buy a single by-pass bulb failure relay if I do the wiring into the socket1 pin1 (reverse live) and socket2 pin and 4 (ignition live, from fuse 28 - 7.5a)?

I was looking to get the Ryder TF1011 as per the How 2 but I can't find anywhere that stock them? Does anyone know of an alternative which can be sourced easily please?

    Many thanks guys in anticipation.

    Grant.

After routing around and emailing one firm in the morning, I then phoned them a few hours later and they said that they no longer did the Ryder TF1011 and replaced it with a new relay for about £25, I decided to source a different type from someplace else!!!

I opted for one of these (5th item down).

Ordered it yesterday about 12.45 and I've just taken delivery of it. - Very good service (and included free delivery!).

Ironically, just after I received an email to say that my relay had been despatched I received an email from the 1st firm who said he confused himself and that they were still selling the TF1011 for £4.46 + £5 delivery.

Just waiting to receive the Sensor kit now!
