    Default Gunk in expansion bottle

    Ive noticed this building up for a while now and while sticking me tuning box back on after it had a trip to the dealers for a wheel bearing to be replaced i took the photos , anybody elses gone like this ?







    Also found an oil leak , good ol fiat engines

    ooh er, why has it got anything but clean fluid in there ..

    personally, I'd clamp the hoses, disconnect it all and remove the bottle, clean it out.. refit and top up accordingly, if it gets gunk in it again .. seek help :S

    had the same thing with a ford years ago. turned out the head gasket had gone

    Righto , when i next have time i will pop back and let the chaps look at it . it does run lumpy on tick over sometimes and 1st thing in the morning i get a lovely cloud of blue smoke as i drive off

    VV means the oil to water cooler...which it could well be.. or if it's an auto, then the trans fluid cooler is a firm favourite...
    DTM.. is there any 'mayonaisse' in the tank, or is it just tank discolouration?..

    The water has gone a bit discoloured by no mayo the brown stuff id really baked on , its not like a sludge .

    the poor vecs not having a good time of it ,

    Sounds like you need some limescale remover, if there's no sludge I wouldn't worry, have you topped up the freeze with different colour freeze?

    Two colours blending could be the problem there Den.
