    Default Facelift electrical trickery

Mrs Oilburner has just bought a nice 06 reg (new shape) Zafira 2.2 Auto Design with all the toys and a few options boxes ticked too. We love it to bits already...

BUT! The only thing I've noticed is that a few of the clever features the pre-facelift Vectra-C has appears to be missing on the Zafira-B:

    It doesn't do autolocking.
All the doors open at once, rather than just drivers first.
    There's no separate boot unlocking.
The rain sensors won't close the windows if they've been left open and it rains whilst the car is locked up.
There's no sensitivity adjustment for the rain sensors.
The interior controls aren't active unless the key is in the ignition and it's switched to position I or higher.
The climate control is single zone only.
Switching the interior lights on at the front doesn't activate the rear interior lights too.

I know it's all quite trivial - none of that bothers me too much, but I'd be a little disappointed if I bought another Vectra for myself and that lot was missing.

The only cool feature they've retained from the Vectra is the remote open/close with the key (love that on hot days). Oh, and the check control is still there if you have climate or sat nav fitted. It has the air-con glovebox and heated seats on ours too, which is nice.

Has the facelift Vectra-C lost any of those features or is it just the Astra/Zafira where Vauxhall have cut the feature list down?

    Having had my facelift Signum a few days (I guess the Vectra will be the same) and been playing with most of these things I can tell you;
You can program it to autolock or not.
You can program it to open all doors or driver's only.
There's no separate unlock for the boot either inside or from the remote.
The rain sensor will close the windows and it does have sensitivity adjustement.
Not sure what you mean by interior controls - radio and windows work but not much else I think.
    Dual zone climate.
Rear lights come on with the fronts if the switches are in the "middle" position.

Cheers Marty. That's all good news I think - a facelift is still on my Top 10 for my next car!

I guess Vauxhall wanted to make the canbus system a bit simpler and cheaper for the Astra/Zafita ranges.

The interior controls thing is when you unlock the car or within 10 minutes of turning it off or opening a door, the stereo and window controls remain active. Nice feature that.

The only facelift to have dual zone climate as standard is Elite, optional on the rest.

Just need to find the £13-£15k Vauxhall stealers want for a facelift 3.0 Elite with Auto... ouch!!! I would hope they'd come down to about £12k or less by the end of this year?
