Minor paint chip repair, what to do?
Hi folks,
I've had a search about and I haven't found any posts that can help with my particular problem.
I have several minor chips/scratches I want to repair before I get the car a good buff and polish.
I have some stone chips on the front bumper no more than 2 mm across or deep and down to the primer, I have a 1cm flaking on the rear bumper and finally a couple of 1/2 mm rust spots on the front pillar.
None of these are anywhere near major enough for me to throw money at a repair shop. Can anyone recommend a product or method for tidying these small issues up?
I had looked at the Halfrauds repair kit which includes a sanding tool to work the rust away, primer, paint and top coat. The reviews were all pretty bad so I'm looking for something a bit more reliable.
The car is Sapphire Black if that helps.
cheers

I've looked on You Tube, google, hit that fancy search button on the forum too, but I'm looking for a recommendation from someone on this site based on the needs of my poor cars paint.

If it can be made to look decent that'd be a option. Although that means I have to go into my local Charles Hurts Vauxhall dealer (Shudders at the thought) I've been there before and I'd rather have teeth pulled.
I've found this which I also could tempted to go for if no other options show up

Haha, yeah I don't think drinking 4 or 5 Red Bulls would be a good idea before tackling this. Otherwise it will look like a Jackson Pollock painting (Yes I stole the line from GotG)

Hello there,
I would also recommend ChipEx. Very good results achieved on baz2011uk car as puppet has pointed out. I experienced similar results on an Impreza Turbo I used to have. Very easy process achieving great results. It is quite pricey but when it comes to your pride and joy you would pay that all day long.
