    Default Indicator self cancellation

What controls the indicator self cancel function mine won't stay on long enough.
even if I'm stationary with indicator on without moving the steering wheel it cancels.

Vec indicators have a mind of their own tbh. Remember they are two stage indicators. Small push gives a triple indication, and you need to push firmer to make them stay on. I find that when turning right I push the stalk from near it base, rather than the tip, because you get movement on the Cruise button that seems to throw them early.

Never heard of this when you say firm more pressure or hold on longer? I've just sat without touching the wheel and they flash a few times then cut off

theres a soft touch up or down which makes it flash 3 times only.. then if u push up of down fully then it will indicate properly

Yes. A small push gives 3 indications, its supposed to be for a lane change on say a motorway. A good firm push fully up or down(you can feel the resistance) means they should stay on all the time, or until you straighten the wheel from pulling out a junction.

I've found that the indicators self cancel themselves far too soon.

for instance; When I'm turning right across the oncoming lane, I indicate as normal (firm push up) and the indicators stay on. As soon as I turn the wheel to begin the manoeuvre, the indicators just cancel themselves.

It seems my indicators cancel themselves after around 45 degrees of steering either side.

Can be annoying, but you get used to it and get into the habit of reapplying the indicator whenever required.
