Unhappy A new record, 4 months into the year before someone smashed me!

Yep, someone drove right into the side of me. probably looking at £4000-5000 for the body work and painting and they also damaged the stearing and who knows what else.

on the up side, I fitted a Forged dump valve with pressure on both side and a boost gauge wired in and it's was running fine and holding pressure. Still does infact, just that half the car looks like a cheese grater and the front wheels need re-aligning by about 45%...

Maybe I'll save some money while it's being fixed, if they don't write it off, it's only worth £9000 at the most probably much less because of the mileage and all the repair work. If there is any damage beond the stearing arm them I recon they won't bother with it.

I just bought 4 new Eibach shocks because they were absolutely shot (was even bouncing on the rolling road...) but I guess I don't need them so desperatly now...

Police said they would probably do them for driving without due care and attention but somehow that didn't make me feel any better.

As long as you're OK, mate, that's the main thing. Insurance will cover the rest.

On the up side, I take it the valve fitting was successful?

Well if they do, I took out the three year write off insurance with VX when I bought it so I should get a brand new one... To be honnest though, even though there isn't much left of the origional car now, I'd much rather keep what I have...

Saw a simular spec model for sale on VX web site for about £9000 and it had just over HALF the mileage of mine. Can't see the repairs costing much more than a few pennies less than it's worth.

Maybe Vauxhall have started developing Military technology and are fitting stealth devices to cars to trial them without telling us... I can't think of any other way a Vectra could become invisible to someone driving straight at the side of me?
