Default How much for first service?

Any idea's how much im looking at. My Car is a 06 signum 1.9 150 5200 miles. I checked the service book and they say 20000 or 1 year for each service. I dont mind getting it serviced each year but i dont like getting ripped off.

    ABSOLUTELY AND CATAGORICALLY UNTRUE.

Any dealer who says that are breaking the Law.

EU Block Exemptions state very clearly that as long as genuine parts (or equivalents) are used by a VAT registered garage at the scheduled time, then warranty CANNOT be refused.

Some manufacturers don't even need the VAT registered garage part.

A very good friend of mine used to work for a BMW dealership, and when this legislation was brought in they had numerous trading standard 'mystery' customers verifying the they were complying with this law. Anyone who thinks that it must go to dealer for servicing to retain warranty is just plain wrong.

Mine's booked in Thursday for a major service. Cost is £168.00 for the service, but I'm expecting a bigger bill than that as there's a few things I want them to look at as well. I'm not looking forward to the final price.

Go to an independent. Most places will do a full service for around £150, and quite possibly do a better job than Vx.....
