    Default Alloys under warranty??

Vectra is coming up to its 3rd birthday next month and hence out of warranty . Anyway, car is going into garage next week to check something out and I have asked them to check for rear alloys as the paint finish is starting to pit and bubble and I hope they may change them under warranty - What do reckon, think I'll get them??

Sorry, but basically what yorkshireborn said. Paint only has a 12 month warranty, and that would apply to the wheels as wheel. I would be gobsmacked if they replaced it under warranty, but as YB said, you never know!

Usually caused by stone damage rather than faulty painting process
Go to an independent bodyshop first and have them look at them
If they agree the paint is at fault, then ask if they could prepare a report for you (for a small fee)

If they say no it might be worth contacting cutomer services as Kev got all 4 replaced and I got 2 replaced under warranty, my car was just over 2years old at the time..........worth a shot

Many a thing can cause a wheel to blister etc, including what you wash them with, as the others say a wheel wont be covered and to ask on a 3 yr old one will just get you laughed at at the dealers.

I seem to remember that Alloys are only covered for the first 500 miles.

I think I'm read that somewhere on here

As a point of note; I have already discussed this issue with the dealer who has already stated he is happy to review the wheels regardless of the age and mileage of the car and if they are found to be at fault he is happy to change.....See what happens

He may well say he'll review it, but in all honesty there is no way you will get a 3 yr old alloy replaced, if they wont replace a £30 shock absorber what chance have you got with a £250 wheel, all body warrenties have to have a regular inspection, not sure if this includes wheels or not, so no inspection stamps no body warrenty, I think he's blagged you off myself and hoping someone else deals with you later.
