Sorry mate i get lost in the world of mechanical talk sometimes lol

The Duel mass flywheel (DMF) give up causing the vibrations throughout the car, this can be seen in the 4th and 5th photos, the clutch Slave cylinder (CSC) had also blown its seal resulting in brake fluid loss and the foot pedal dropping top the floor, (this can also happen if the pedal spring brakes)

In a nut shell it was Fu@@ed Lol

    Damn

So, although you had a new clutch fitted, and a new DMF (as posted in #17) , it failed ?

That's the bit I was trying to get my head around ? Or, was it because the Clutch Slave Cylinder had also failed but not been identified and replaced at the same time ?

(I'm sure this will help others and not only me )

    Cheers Dan

To be honest mate I’m not sure, it was all replaced but then had a problem getting it into gear, the biting point was at the floor, it was then all removed compared with one that was in stock, no difference found so refitted and was then all ok! it doesn’t make sense i know but that’s how it was according to the mechanic who did the job and i know I’m very well and can say he is a good vauxhall mechanic at that dealer where the job was done

you mentioned earlier that the new kit was grinding and wanted right despite repeated bleeding, so you were going to remove it again. what did you find?

Ok Dan, no worries, and a lot of the workings and fittings of this kit, goes over my "brain cell"

It's just a little off putting for those guys who are mechanically up to the task themselves to read that a main dealer didn't get it right first time....but not know quite why.

Cheers mate, glad your motor is "sorted" now anyway

I did ask him about this and he said absolutely nothing! I guess I'll never know, this is why i wanted to be there at the time of removal
To be fair it was only for a few seconds when I let the clutch up with the handbrake on. Called it a day after that and pushed it back on the ramp

Yes mate I agree it's like anything in life a person or company can get a bad name for a single individual that's why I haven't named the dealer. On the other hand this can really happen and is nobody's fault

Cheers bud it's all sorted now
