    Default Regal or Triple 8

Can anyone help, looking at getting more from my 1.9 CDTI 55 plate. Torn between these two. Does anyone have any positive or negative comments or recomendations. Any help. One I believe gets an extra 45 the other 50?, Cost difference is only £50. Choices, choices.

Can't offer anything constructive to this but you know if you go for the +45bhp you'll wish you had gone for the +50 bhp

to be honest an pls correct me if I'm wrong but I have read that Regal are not all they are cracked upto be, so purely by scare mongering I'd go for 888.

I went with 888 and have been happy so far...

The 888 remap was rolling roaded at Regal and shows 188.3 BHP (its supposed to have 195 BHP) however, my car isnt any slower than just about most things I choose to compare with.

    So I would recommend 888....

Also, when on the Nurburgring, the clutch started slipping on the 3rd lap, so its as much power as you would want anyway, for the car !!

Steve, I have a theory as to why are cars seemed closely matched when we went out for a "test" and other week.

    Down to Power to Weight:

Steve's car weighs 1456kg and has 188.3bhp so:
    Power to weight is: 188.3 / 1456 x 1000 = 129.3 bhp/tonne

My car weighs 1593kg and has 222bhp so:
    Power to weight is: 222 / 1593 x 1000 = 139.4 bhp/tonne

    So only 10.1 bhp/tonne difference!!!!!!

So would probably explain why there seemed little difference on the road, even though there is 33.7bhp difference between the engines themselves....

In fact, your car would only need 203bhp to equal mine on bhp/tonne
