Default Messing about with the camera

Got my Sony alpha NEX-5N out the cupboard as I brought it and never used it so thought I would get some snaps. I know the lighting isn't great as it was early evening on a damp day apart from my dog Ben

Well if these are the shots you are getting without know what the settings are I would say fair play mate they're cracking

A word of warning though, if the photography bug bites then trust me, modding a Vectra will seem like spending peanuts...

Cheers, I brought the Sony as it had good reviews for the price range but now I work at Panasonic and have seen the Lumix G range

I started with a bridge camera, now own 2 DSLRS and both the missus and daughter have their own DSLRS. .....Christ my car cost less than our photographic equipment and that's not including the studio lighting and back drops.

So much info on the net. Read up about aperture and shutter speed, once you understand that you just need to spend 20 years practising. Bring the camera to the meet, I'll have mine.

I do really enjoy it, thinking of excuses to go walk in the woods behind my house now to get some photos. Did get a nice shot of some deer on my old camera I will try to find as I like wildlife shots. Will definitely bring it along and get some pointers, should I bring both the lens?

Edit: found them, I took these with a Fujifilm compact thingy in Leatherhead common.

the fowl was hiding so I snapped a stick to make it look while I took the shot, was awkward trying to approach from down wind

Bring what you've got. I can only make myself look stupid! (Although that is nothing unusual). I've just been moving my photos onto my NHS box and it is really interesting looking back on photos you took and discarded.

Top tip...never delete a photo just because you don't like it. ( oof or shaky photos, fair enough but I looked at pics I dismissed when I took them and now I think "yep I like that"

Second tip....get them organised from the start cuz its murder trying to sort them out afterwards.

If the full size is as crisp as the pic shown the second picture is stunning.

Edit. NAS BOX not NHS, lol
