    Default Rust!

Cleaned the car today and with the boot up I reached in to grap the closing handle noticing just inside near the trailing edge it is rusting for about three inches. 0 signs of any galvanizing but this maybe because it is on the inside. Not impressed, seriously not impressed.

Don't like going 2 the dealers, they just seem to **** everything up. How does the warranty work as I didn't buy the car new and she has miles! Is FVSH required?

Looking @ the design I would all check this area as it may be a week spot like the B had on the rear arches near the door catch.

The 7 year warranty is perforation, not rust.

I'd take it back anyway and moan like hell. Be loud enough so browsing customers can hear, and go on a Sat late morning. You are more likely to be dealt with properly then. lol

When I know I'm in the right I moan and it can get real nasty to the point where I tell them to ring the police because I'm gonna start smashing the place up. Trying to avoid this amount of stress these days but it has been sucessful in the past!!

I could dig the rust out and paint it again, you wouldn't see it as its on the inside. What happends I think is that water gets trapped when the boot is shut between the rubber seal near the lock on the chassis and the tail gate inner (looking @ a picture I'm sure his is the case). Now this new water based washable ultra blue paint just can't take this. Lovely colour just so weak

Will have a think about the garage but may not be worth the stress and hassle, I also buy lots of parts from them @ trade prices so don't want to upset that little number.
