there should be a how2 somewhere.....all you have to do is take off the cover to the airbox.the screws will loosen not need to take the screws right out(as ppl have been known to drop these..lol).........lift out the air filter......you will notice only half of it gets used..look down to the front and bottom of the airbox..you will see a a pipe inlet....the top can be unclipped and taken out.......by doing this it makes the airflow better.hope this helps.if not go to the proper how2 lol

I've removed the cyclinder shaped outlet that goes inside the airbox in the top half just buy cutting it off as level as I could and sanding down the rough edges at an angle, loads more air feed. noticed difference. if you put the airbox back together and look inside the box where the engine feed would go you will be able to see the whole top of the filter instead of a pathetic little opening.

sorry to bring this up but I manage to do this airbox mod on my 2.0T (+ standard panel filter) and I think I noticed good response at lower revs and also I think after 100+ miles my consumption is better (before it was 30mpg now 32mpg). Is this just me or am I driving like a grandma now?
What was your experience with airbox mod on 2.0T engine about fuel economy?

I agree mine is better since i done it 2 weeks ago

Although it could be that the ecu has learned my driving style,i'm doing about 100 miles a day at moment all dual carriageway and i pay for my own petrol so i just cruise at 70 am getting about 34 mpg
