    Depends what engine...
Service wouldnt include a brake pad change (maybe if its Network Q it might do? Not sure). The service normally consists of a oil change, oil filter change, fuel filter change, screen washer top up (wow!) thats about it. They dont even do your air filter on a 20 000 mile service. Oh and they check to see what else they can find worng that they can charge you for.

It will cost anything from £150 - £350 depending on who does it and what they consider needs doing, they will say you need new brake fluid which is an extra, and will advise an emissions flush service as well, both at extra cost, so what starts out as a £150 service soon rises over the £200 mark, you have a V6 I believe, this has dearer filters than the 1.9's hence the extra cost.

You need to get it done though, if your keeping the car a long time get the emissions service done £30 I believe, brake fluid I think is just another con to get more money from you, and not having it done wont effect your warrenty.

Make sure they use genuine Vx parts else your warranty will be void.

Oh and keep the Vx reciepts. In fact you may as well go down Vx and buy the bits you need and give them to the garage. At least you will have the reciepts

Ahh right, in that case it should be around £135 for a 20k service and £185 for a 40k one, as I said above the emissions service is a good adition if you always do it at service time, flush the engine oil, fuel treatment in the tank and an oil reconditioner to protect against any residue flush, that adds £30 btw, trying to save £40 on a non franchised service is false eco, if you have it done at Vx they will respond to you better in future cases etc.

And mine was done at a local independent garage. They used Vx parts, stamped the service book, and charged me a whopping £50.
