    Default Parking Sensors

Iam thinking of installing parking sensors to my Veccy.

Can anyone send me some info to help me fit sensors:

    How many sensor on front?
    How many on rear?

Pics if possible of OE installation?

Are the locations marked on the bumper?
How easy is it to drill the bumper without the paint flaking off?

    Thanks

Lots of discussion on parking sensors around the forum.
If you remove the bumpers which is quite easy the markings where to drill are on the inside. Most parking sensor kits ome with the correct size hole saw, using this you don't get no paint flaking off although a tip on drilling is drill a little bit, stop, clean the hole saw out as it fills up with plastic then drill a 2nd time till it pops through.
If you try drilling through in one go the plastic fills the teeth in the saw and practically becomes a smooth surface. Continue drilling like this & it heats up & starts to distort the bumper skin.

Loads of forum posts on this as Ben says. Half the guys on the forum have done this.

Search around for a thread by leeds_vectra, he's retrofitting OE sensors to his rear. Or failing that there's plenty of threads on ebayt sensor kits, as well as third-party kits from various sellers.

I got Vx to fit their 4-sensor rear kit to my car, £205 all in (including paint). They did a nice job, but it's just a bog standard kit, not OE/Bosch. You can see them on my car here: http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=21634
