Thumbs down Anybody tried a courtaney air filter?

I though I would give foam a go and see wheather it allows more flow but when the filter turned up, it was too small? I put it in the bottom of the box and is only just spaned the gap, which is obviously not going to do the job. I offered it up to the top and it did slot into the rim though. So I thought I would have a go anyway but as soon as I put the top on, the filter was pushed into the bottom of the box.

Rang Courtaney and explain and gave them measurements of the filer over the phone, off they went saying they would get back to me. Sure enough they did and said the one's they had there were about 5mm bigger in both dirrection, which would probably fit nicely. So they promptly dispatched another to me, which I got today but guess what... Yep, same size?

So I'm a bit confused, I've had about eight filters for my car and two airboxes (due to modifying) and they have always been a perfect fit. Why would courtaney be selling a filter that doesn't fit? They do keep telling me there is no demand for tuning on the 1.9CDTI, do you think they never tried their filters in the car they were intended for?

Black foam, rubber and mesh, with red foam under the mess and Courtenay SPORT in white on it. I'll have to check cos I was going to try Pipercross next. No point if they don't fit.

Been on their website, again nothing listed for the 1.9 CDTI, is the box the same as any of the others?

Few people do a panel filter for the 'c',most try and sell you one for the 'b' which is smaller.I think the reason why k&n do is because some of the American gm models use the same parts as English gm models.
