Default Scratch X or Step 1 cleaner or both?

As per title really loads swirl marks scratches etc so was going to use scratch X all over car - will take an age on an estate - or should I clay then scratch X then step 1 or clay then just step 1?

I took mine to a valeter, cost £90 to have the exterior done with some form of compound, windows and trims and a full interior valet. Came out like new and not a single scratch on it (with the exception of the deep one down the passenger side with thanks to the previous owner!)

Try and find a good one.
I`ve tried 2 and can safely say I could do a better job than them. Might take slightly longer but I always end up noticing and bits they`ve missed.

Well a few weeks ago I was raging on about scratch-x. It is good stuff but some elbow grease is required. I had a few scratches that were a pain in the Bum and wouldn't go away.

Today I Step 1-2-3'd the car and said scratches are gone.

I guess Scratch-x is better for light work (like petrol pump hoses rubbing the wings) but step 1 did a big scratch caused by some one anonamous rubbing the wing along a shrub.
