    Default Air box mod??

    hi,

i have removed the half pipe from the bottom of the air box and fitted a panel filter but i was wondering if there was any more bits i need to remove to increase the air flow? ( and stop those flat spots ).

i read on another forum something about a 3 pipe mod? does this relate to the face lift as well because i have had a look at the air intake pipes that go to the grill but cant see a way of modding them.

any info would be appriciated and pics would REALLY help.

    thanks

wrong Vectra, that was for the B type. You can get more by attacking the top trumpet aswell but if you remove it completely the ECU will moan because the air will become turbulent under high demand and give fault MAFS reading.

do you think a cold air induction kit would work better than the modded air box?

i had the piper cross ram air induction kit on my corsa and thought it was the dogs b******s.

The engine is the wrong way round, the air would have to come in the front then turn round and go back towards the front. Might work if you spent some time on it, I got better results on the rollers from a foam mushroom standing up in the air than from the box with a K&N panel. It would have to be an enclosed filter but yes, it probably would work better than the standard box.
