Been a while again since I've updated this

Few bits have been done. Also used the VXR to transport some ladders recently... the fastest ladders in all the land:

Also fitted my old 16mm spacers on the back when i got some extended bolts that fit the new wheels, before ultimately buying some 20mm spacers, putting those on the back and moving the 16mms to the fronts... Sittin' pretty now:

As you can see, the VXR also now lives in a garage, due to me and the missus buying a house. (Her fancy beemer is relegated to the driveway ). The Vec is also only really used on weekends now, as hers is a diesel. More of a toy now. And I have to say, I enjoy it much more now im not sitting in traffic jams daily in it!

Also sorted out the boot, now I have a garage to store stuff in:

My passenger one has been replaced 3 times in the last 2 years.

The driver side has slightly melted but acceptable and has lasted at least 2+ years.

I paid a little extra and bought some fibre glass ones and they have done really well and no sign of melting. They are slightly thicker too.

Always helps to have a little bit of mesh in there too..

After that from Lammy, I bought myself some fibreglass ones off eBay. Didnt want my 2.8 melting them lol. And I think @new boy used the ABS ones.
How do you mean water leakage? Does water run through the vents when it rains, yes. Does it get underneath the lip of the vents, no.

If you're putting bonnet vents in most vectras you're fine 2.8s need fibreglass ones as they produce a lot of heat and will melt abs vents.

If it rains or when you wash the car, because I have the soundproofing cut out it drips straight onto my battery and air filter heat shield. ABS ones lasted may a month each on my passenger side so that’s why I went for the fibre glass ones. They’re a lot thicker and I cannot fault them, they’ve been in nearly a year now.

Water leak is not what I'm looking for

I am after that mod, but I'm looking foa a way to prevent leakage...but without loosing ventilation feature.

Bonnet spacers could be another option like I’ve done. 22mm spacers off eBay.
