Haven't updated for a little while so here goes.
First off, after some lovely person/persons decided to kick my rear passenger door in several times, i got a quote for about 300 quid to repair and respray it...
"Sod that" was my reaction to this quote lol, so bought a replacement door from a sapphire black hatch for 29 quid in good nick and fitted this with @Matty2Fatty just before the Wales meet. We had great *fun* swapping all the internals over including the electric window mechanism
Then fitted an auto dimming rear view mirror, and got a new tint top windscreen to go along with it, with the bracket for the rain sensor. Which lead me to fit an EX sensor to the glass, and fitted/programmed auto lights and wipers with assistance from @jaguser, @RichM and parts from @happypostie
Thanks to all those that helped sort out/mod the VXR a bit more!!! Couldn't have done it without ya.

I then decided what the heck and bought some chameleon tint for the fogs, which I'm really liking

Think it looks pretty damn good as it sits at the moment if i say so myself

Epic car mate, it's probably my favourite on here. Think you've got it looking spot on. Let me know when you want to sell up

Coming from you bud with your car, that is very kind indeed and quite humbling! If I ever need to trade it for something more economical we could do a swap maybe

Got the second ever @Teapot VXR map last weekend... It is now running less power off the sport button, with increased drivability (hopefully a bit better mpg too). But when you hit the sport button it transforms completely and is a lot more fun than it ever was!

Teapots map has made the car run much better overall, we think it was running lean before. It has also gotten rid of my boost issue that was being caused by a dodgy Regal map. I can't thank the man enough, it has changed the car completely!

Thanks for the feedback @Brady and I'm glad it is a big improvement over the previous remap!

For the benefit of others, I found that the linearisation map for the boost pressure sensor had been altered by a large amount. This map should only be altered if an upgraded (higher boost) pressure sensor has been installed. Even so, the way it had been modified was not even appropriate for an upgraded sensor. This resulted in fluctuating boost pressure and over-boosting, which caused DTCs and occasionally limp mode.

We do not know if this was how Regal mapped it, or whether somebody else had tampered with it after them.

Either way, it runs much more smoothly now, with much better performance and no faults. I can map not only VXR models, but also all other variants including the 230 and 250bhp models. These can achieve very big gains especially in mid-range torque.
