The majority of stuff is now cheap Chinese....it's just when a trader imports it to here, it becomes an expensive UK unit that was mass produced cheaply in China, but the UK trader forgot to mention it lol

you are right but you know what i am on about i want something clear like what you've got on the insignia not one of those led tubes or led lights i could use and make them fit... like i said looking for something that closely resembles oem vauxhall yet doesn't require me to cut, mould, reshape and respray etc( it has to be done twice hence the reason I say it's to much work) i just want bolt off ,bolt on and some rewiring... that should do the trick..

but like you said the studff is made in China as cheap as possible but to make it more expensive they add quality control from hell... tada your cheap chinese OEM indicator all of a sudden costs 100 times more.

Totally understand where your coming from.
My indicators were cheap Chinese ordered from AliExpress lol.
They're actually for the Buick Regal or Chevrolet Cruze.

But with them being GM ....that why I got them
They've been done a couple of times and I saw them on an old car that belonged to one of the Insignia forum mods.....and decided I was doing it.

Sweated buckets doing it, incase it was a trip to the scrappies for another mirror lol.
But cut, trimmed, tried it more than a few times so it was fitting properly.
Done the wiring and on the lamp, then fitted it all and made sure it all worked.
All in, it took about 4 hours to strip, cut and refit mirror.

    I'm happy enough with it.

Been a lovely day here, so the Pledge came out of hibernation and I gave it a coat of lemon fragrance.

Funnily enough I had to do this a couple of weeks ago as I could hear water swooshing about, I removed these bungs and couldn't beleive hoe much water was trapped in doors I'm in two minds whether to refit them tbh, wondered if it was common fault

was a common fault on the preface , they never put the bungs in the facelift models , mine are still in and i just clean them when i clean the car , not had any water in the doors .

They use the same bungs in the Astra-J, and likewise they also gum up with sludge after a while. I cleared all mine out after hearing water sloshing about inside one of the rear doors. I couldn't believe the amount of water that came out when I removed the drain bung. I keep them clean now and periodically give them a poke a small screwdriver when I remember. Other AStra-J owners have taken them out and left them out. They weren't fitted to later models of the Astra.

Well since I got mine last year I've replaced all interior lights to led, fitted vauxhall puddle lights, upgraded rear no plate bulbs, chrome door pins, fitted flat mudflaps, painted calipers, had wheels refurbed but need done again as guy made an ar5e of them 😠, fitted cheapo tuning box that doesn't seem to work on any setting, had car hydro cleaned, future plans Need to get wheels redone and rear bumper sprayed nothing much else as I on the lookout for an astra gtc vxr 😂
