Query wih my v5? Ruined my insurance costs

Hi all only just found out yesterday that when I type me reg plate in on the insurance sites it shows that my car is automatic and it definitely is not.


When I first selected my vehical without a reg the cheapest site waz £96 a month

Using the reg plate as the selection and having it registered as auto is a whopping £155 a month


But this is the strange part, correcting the vehical to manual using the reg plate doesnt bring it back to 96, but £131 a month...what the hell?

The excuse was the model of my car has recently gone thtough another safety rating and £131 is actually correct.


Now looking at my v5 next to the name of the car there is an "A"

But there is no evidence of any changes that I can see, it is a major job and I cantt really see the point in doing it, have vauxhall wrongly labeled cars as a auto before?


Anyway cheapest I could get was £111 a month which I bought as it runs out on Sunday

Stick you VIN into ECAT. On the right hand side it tells you what transmission your car had from the factory.

I can confirm it did leave the factory with a MANUAL gearbox... As per original build sheet.
